Setting up on a remote webhost

Postby Jeff Adams on Thu Jul 08, 2004 3:41 pm

Would it be possible to set this up on my webhost's server so that I can access my feeds from different computers?

Jeff,

Your webhost would have to support the running of a standalone Java application (nntp//rss), as well as allowing access to its embedded web server running, by default running on port 7810.

Alternatively, if you machine at home is generally powered up, you can run it on that machine, and then use a dynamic DNS service like Zone Edit (http://www.zoneedit.com) to provide DNS resolution to your machine's IP address. This is somewhat similar to the setup I have for the demo server.
